Holiday Happenings

What a blessed Christmas season our family has enjoyed this year.  Just a few memories I hope to remember.... We started our night with In-n-Out Burger and a walk around the neighborhood to check out Christmas lights.  The Christmas lights were such a hit this year.  Owen actually got mad at our neighbors when they took theirs down the day after Christmas.  He wouldn't even roll down his window to say hi that day.

I guess I might have overdone the "better be nice or you won't get any presents" this year.  Owen got his cherished train table.  But after it was all set up, and he was really getting into his choo-chooing he stops and says, "Why did I get this train table?"  Matt and I look at each other and start with, "Because it's Jesus's birthday, and we're celebrating..." To which he cuts us off, "No, why did I get it because I was a rude boy." Well...... I don't know!!!!

Chloie was a doll with her dolls.  She knew just what to do with the baby bottles for her baby, and evidently Owen does too!  She's also a fan of all the tents, tunnels and 150 balls that now litter the front room.

Chloie tuckered out, but Owen couldn't end the night without eggnog.  I'm pretty sure his dad had the same expression when I said I was getting out Christmas cookies and eggnog.  They're both a little ridiculous about holiday treats.

Yes, I think it was good.

The kids got so many thoughtful things from family far away.... Christmas just kept right on a coming at our house!

Our neighbor gave us some special hot chocolate treats, and Owen was so excited about it.... But it turns out Chloie is the hot chocolate drinker, and Owen.....

is s party pooper...

"It's too hot." he says of the luke warm chocolatey milk.... "Put it in the 'frigerator."  And after five minutes in there.... "Oh, yes!  This is good!  I like it like this!"  ummm... yuck....

And lastly, this is just Chloie who amazes me.  She can just pick up a pen like it's completely natural  and even tell me what she's drawing like "circle" or "letters."  She's pretty neat, I think!
