Great Ending

Matt left us early Monday morning to head to Denver for bank meetings until Thursday night. And can I just say how lucky I am to have a wonderful husband! We surely missed him more than he can know.

Owen is at an age where he is just becoming sensitive to Daddy being gone. By Wednesday night he was saying, "Miss Daddy." And unfortunately, Matt had to be out of the house by 5 a.m. this morning and missed the kids again. Owen woke up in a tizzy. "Daddy go?" Then with his big boy nod, "Daddy airplane." Once I assured him Daddy would be home tonight to play and didn't leave again on an airplane, he understood, "Daddy workin' office. Daddy workin' computer. Daddy home."

Chloie continues to be a doll. Though I fear she is becoming more and more Mommy attached. She has started crying now when I leave the room. Makes me feel so special when I pop back around the corner, and her face lights up. But I should probably make sure she gets plenty of time with others this coming week in Indiana.

So why is this post entitled great ending??? Because after our long week, ok MY long week, the two kids both went down right at 12:00 for their naps, and both babies have slept without a peep. And it's 3:00!! They'd better wake soon or Mommy's going to have to have herself a toast for making it through the week as single mom of two!
