October Happenings

I'm looking at the calendar barely believing how quickly this month has gone! We spent a wonderful week in Indiana earlier this month. I always fret about the trip, and this time I had no reason to worry. We had such a wonderful time. Owen loves his Grandpa's farms, his aunts and uncles, cousins and grandparents. It's so neat to hear him continue to talk about the fun we had back home. Just yesterday he remembered playing games at the church picnic with "Aunt Cashie." It took me awhile to figure that one out, but I finally deciphered it when he kept showing me the toys he had won at the picnic.

Chloie was of course a gem, but I rarely find times that she's not.... well, ok, most days from 5:30-7:00 can be challenging. But still, she is a really terrific baby. My growing concern though is over her lack of rolling skills. She sits up and plays so well. She does tons of belly off the floor moves, but she won't flip over. She'll get there, right?.... so stop worrying! She's been very interested in what we're eating. She'll take the spoon right out of our hands and put it in her mouth if we let her. So I thought she'd just love a little cereal... wrong on that one! She gags and spits it out, so we're taking a little break and will try again in a few days.

The weather has finally cooled off, so we're having wonderful fun outside at the parks again. Chloie loves to swing. Owen loves everything about being outside. And Matt and I just couldn't be happier with our little family!
