The Good Stuff

Matt's Good Stuff: Hard to believe Matt and I have been married for eight years this week. In so many ways, I feel that we have changed so much: buying four houses and a farm, moving three times, having two children, changing jobs seven times between the two of us. But yet we have stayed so much exactly the same. Matt is my best friend. He takes my weird mood swings in stride. He makes me laugh. He snuggles me. He helps me raise our two beautiful children. He doesn't care if I wear sweats all day. He makes me feel so loved. Not a day goes by that I don't thank God for giving us each other.

Chloie's Good Stuff: I just love how excited she gets for bath time. Every night the poor girl is so tuckered out at dinner. She whines and fusses, but only because she is just so darn tired. Yet, every night as soon as we get upstairs and she's on my bed naked, she turns into Miss Playful. She laughs so hard at everything I do. She'd play in the bubbles all night if I'd let her. My only regret is that it always has to end. The second we're done with bath, the playfulness is over. Each night it's a race to see how quickly I can get her dressed, nursed and into bed.

Owen's Good Stuff: I just love how Owen does't forget a thing. Earlier today I was wildly singing "The Twelve Days of Christmas." I know hard to imagine me obnoxiously wailing a song.... Anyway, Owen looks at me strangely, and I thought for sure I was going to get an, "Owen don't like that." But instead I got, "That's the song from the train." He remembered singing it on the Polar Express over a month ago. And to illustrate his cleverness in less than pleasant ways... Owen decided that tonight he would point out every animal's butt in "Brown Bear." Ok, not so bad until he gets to the end and announces, "Mommy has a butt too. Mommy's butt weird." What the heck??? Why is MY butt weird??? Thanks for the complex, son. Still... love you :)
