Halloween Fun

Owen transformed into a Purdue Boilermaker football player for Halloween this year. Goodness knows he could probably give the poor team some help this year... He wanted nothing to do with his helmet until we told him he had to wear it to get treats.... then he was interested! He was so cute with the oversized helmet, holding our hand as he walked to a couple of our neighbors. As soon as he got the treat he wanted to run home and eat it. We practiced saying trick-or-treat all day in anticipation of the big night, but when it came time he got confused. Usually when I say, "What do you say, Owen?" The answer is, thank you. So all our training went out the door and the neighbors heard thank you instead of trick-or-treat... oh, well. Chloie was well past tired Sunday night, so she just rested in her jammies while we handed out candy.

Yesterday Chloie made her first consonant sounds! When we were taking a bath, she started saying, "Na, na na" to the bubbles. She loves to play in the bubbles. Then this morning it was, "Da da da." Of course Daddy was proud since he had started saying "da da da" to Owen in the womb, and Owen's first consonant was "ma ma ma." Actually "da" was one of the last sounds for Owen to make. So way to go, Chloie! You made Daddy's day!
