We had a fun, extra long weekend with Grandma Deb and Grandpa Davis. Matt actually took two days off work to spend with all of us. Owen had so much fun playing tractors with Grandpa and being silly with Grandma. It took him about a day to really warm up to them, but after that they were inseperable.
The last two days that Matt has come home from work Owen runs to the door looking for Grandpa to get out of the Jeep with Matt. But he is sorely disappointed when we tell him... again... that Grandpa had to go home to Indiana to work on his farm.
Since it is not easy to go anywhere with two kids under two, we stayed home most of the time they were here. However, we did manage a trip to one of Matt's dairy customer's farm. Owen was super pumped about the cows. "Owen see cows," was what we heard all day. He also got to see some bonus animals at this farm with goats and chickens and horses and pigs. The family had two young elementary age girls that escorted him over to the kitchen counter with juice boxes and cookies. Owen went right with them. He was a litle quiet and shy, but the treats really worked on him. Chloie was a gem the whole time. Missing her nap, but not being overly cranky about it.
It's so fun to see our babies growing up and changing all the time. Owen is becoming a little man and Chloie a chunky baby. Oh, and this weekend was the first time Chloie got a toy in her hands and to her mouth by herself. Such blessings!
